MISSION, HISTORY & OVERVIEW

SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND
Vital Food Factors (VFF), targeting gastro-intestinal tract transporters, is designed to allow large molecules such as protein/peptides to be given orally rather than by injection. These products are based on the focused application of proprietary processes which improve uptake of such nutrients as vitamins and minerals in the small intestine. These targeted protein/peptides have been successfully utilized to deliver nutrients to specific sites.

Approximately thirty years ago, Grow Company, Inc. developed technologies that provided site selective carriers the opportunity to target specific organs, tissues, and receptor sites.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Andrew Szalay founded Grow Company, Inc. in 1977. Andrew Szalay, a pharmacist, received his degree in 1946 from Szeged University in Hungary, where the renowned Nobel Laureate Albert Szent-Györgyi conducted his research leading to the discovery of vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid), and thereby initiating Andy's nutritional ideologies. After learning about the preventive superiority of the natural nutrients, and due to his humanistic nature; Andrew set out to create a line of nutrients that emulated natural food. In 1956, he moved to the United States and for the following twenty years his research efforts encompassed the area of nutrition, botanical extracts, the study of medicinal plants, and herbs. In 1977, Andy's lifelong dream was successfully implemented by producing nutritional supplements with their composition closely related to the actual composition of natural food. By integrating vitamins and minerals into a glycoprotein matrix of proteins, complex carbohydrates, lipids, bioflavonoids, and dietary fiber; he developed a new line of extraordinary food nutrients. His principles were so novel that the United States Patent Office awarded him a Patent on this proprietary manufacturing technology, which has been utilized exclusively by Grow Company for almost three decades.
